Natural gas power facilities generate about 25pct of Europe's overall capacity
According to figures obtained by the Anadolu Agency from foreign sources, natural gas power facilities generate approximately 200 gigawatts of Europe's overall operational capacity of 950 gigawatts.
The amount of natural gas power facilities on the European continent is estimated to be at 881, with Germany leading the way with over 180.
Italy comes in second with 143 facilities, the Netherlands comes in third with 83 facilities, and Spain and the United Kingdom both come in third with 81 facilities.
The installed natural gas power capacity in Italy is 40 gigawatts. Germany has roughly 31 gigawatts of installed power from natural gas power plants, followed by the United Kingdom, which has operational power close to the same amounts.
