DJ US Oil and Fuel Exports Hit a Record-High
The latest EIA report shows the US exported a massive 11.1 million barrels a day of crude-oil and refined-fuels last week, the most on record. That was led by 4.2M bpd of crude-oil exports, but refined fuels were also quite high, noting distillates hit 1.6M bpd last week, propane/propylene jumped to 1.7M bpd and gasoline hit 920,000 bpd. This year's surge in exports has kept US inventories low and oil prices high, with WTI crude about 45% higher from a year ago, at $94.79 a barrel. That, in turn, has lifted gasoline prices, which average $3.88 a gallon, 23% above $3.15 on this day last year, says AAA.
